Delete your account
You can permanently delete your House of Books account and associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 — In the app (instant)

Open House of Books and sign in.

Tap your profile avatar in the top-right corner.

Tap “Delete my account” and confirm.
Your account and data are deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Request by email
Send us a deletion request from the email address on your account and we will delete it within 30 days.

- Your account and email/login record.
- Any data associated with your account in our database.
- Your locally-stored reading progress, shelf, notes, and preferences (removed on your device when you delete the account or clear app storage).
What we may retain
We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request and limited data where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes, for no longer than necessary. We do not sell your data.
